Cheese is one of the products that always stars at Christmas. Whether as a starter, as an accompaniment to a multitude of main courses or even as a dessert, including this delight is always a good idea.
This year we recommend a delicious proposal from the Pyrenees: Flor de Cadí cheese. A spectacular proposal with which to accompany fruit, quince… and even New Year’s Eve grapes.
It is a mild-tasting cheese made with pasteurized cow’s milk. Its long maturation, of a minimum of 3 months, gives it an extraordinary aroma of nuts. It is tasty, intense, unique and with great personality.
Awarded the bronze medal in the 2018-19 edition of the “World Cheese Awards” competition, it is one of the flagships of the Cadí cooperative.
Located in Seu d’Urgell, Cadí has ??played a fundamental role in establishing roots and structuring the population in the Pyrenees since its inception. Its livestock partners come from Alt Urgell and La Cerdanya, which guarantees the freshness and quality of its products, since the milk is collected daily (Cadi cheeses are made with cow’s milk) and subjected from its origin to the strictest quality controls.
The constant effort to search for quality has allowed that, in addition to Flor del Cadí cheese, other cheeses have been awarded prizes in the aforementioned World Cheese Awards, such as Neu or Urgèlia.
