The musical L’alegria que passa, by Dagoll Dagom, was the big winner at the Critics’ Awards gala, which was held yesterday at the Romea theater in Barcelona, ??presented by Jofre Font and Laura Contreras, and the musical performance by the drag Jèssica Pulla.

The musical inspired by a story by Santiago Rusiñol won five awards: best musical; actress and musical actor for Àngels Gonyalons and Eloi Gómez, who won the award for the second consecutive year; adaptation and dramaturgy by Anna Rosa Cisquella, Andreu Gallén, Ariadna Peya and Marc Rosich; and original music by Andreu Gallén.

The award for best show recognized Angélica Liddell’s production Vudú (3318) Blixen, co-produced by Estación Alta and the Condeduque Contemporary Culture Center. And in dance, the award went to A beginning_expanded version, by Aurora Bauzà

In the circus, the award for best staging went to Solo, by Roi Borrallas. And the family jury awarded An-ki, from the Ortiga company, and the street arts jury, Plata,

With regard to interpretation, the winners were Laia Marull (Love, love, love) and Andreu Benito (L’home de teatre); and supporting cast, Paula Malia (La nostra ciutat) and Quim Ávila (Tot er fils meus). Plaça del Diamant, from the TNC, took the direction (Carlota Subirós) and the stage space (Max Glaenzel). And the show Cavallet de mar o el peix invisible received the Novaveu and revelation awards for Pau Coya.

The award for the best venue has a new name, that of the recently deceased La Vanguardia critic Joan-Anton Benach, and it went to the L’Artesà theatre, in El Prat de Llobregat.
