The Community of Madrid has advanced the deadline to request aid for private nurseries. From today until April 20, both inclusive, the documentation can be submitted. A total of 23 days to present and attach the documentation to obtain the baby check, which on average is close to 1,500 euros per year.

The aid is for children enrolled in privately owned centers, who do not have a place in centers supported by public funds, that is, nursery schools belonging to the Community of Madrid or the City Council of the capital, during the 2023-2024 academic year.

The fundamental requirements include being born before January 1, 2024 and that the family per capita income limit does not exceed 35,913 euros. In case of applying for the aid for several siblings in the family, you only have to make a single application.

In the event that the student was not born by the date of application, it is necessary to provide a certificate with the possible date of delivery and once the birth has occurred, in 10 days, it is necessary to present the family book or registration of the birth in the civil registry .

Among the documentation to complete the application, the ID of the parents, the certificate of registration, the family book, the title of large family (if applicable), the report on the working life of the parents, the certificate of disability or the minimum insertion income report, among others, if these last requirements are met.

The Community of Madrid will consult most of the information requested by electronic means if authorized. All applications must be signed by the parents and attach a mobile number and email for possible communications with the administration.

In general, the amount of the scholarship amounts to 1,463 euros per year, at a rate of 133 euros for each of the months that the course comprises, from September 2023 to July 2024. For low-income families, the amount can reach to 213 euros per month during the school period.

The application can be submitted at the enrolled school, online with a digital certificate or electronic DNI or at a registry office in the Community of Madrid.

This type of aid is compatible with other aids or scholarships with a similar purpose as long as the sum of both does not exceed the cost of the center’s monthly fee.
