After almost four months of investigation, the National Police have arrested a woman for stealing cash, wallets and bank cards from the lockers of a gym in the Madrid district of Tetuán. The woman has gone to court as allegedly responsible for 11 crimes of robbery with force, five minor crimes of theft and 12 minor crimes of fraud. In total, 28 crimes.

The detainee, who accessed the gym as one more user, forced the locks on the lockers and stole property from other users while they were practicing sports.

After various complaints, the police found that the abductions were always made “in the same time slot and only in the women’s locker room.” In this way, “they managed to identify a user of the center as the possible author of the events.” After getting the bank cards, she made purchases for large amounts.

The woman was arrested last Thursday, after a surveillance device at the gym doors “being surprised at the exit with stolen objects” from other women who had come to the gym to practice sports, reads the note issued by the National Police.
