The most popular and most romantic restaurant on the small screen, First Dates, opened its doors for another week. On Monday night, Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado welcomed a new batch of diners willing to give everything in their attempt to win over their date. But despite their efforts, many end up leaving the program the same way they arrived, alone.
Two of the great stars of the night were Mari Luz and Jahaziel. The 26-year-old single woman from Cádiz arrived at the restaurant boasting of art and joy. She was born in China, but at eleven months she was adopted. ”Pure-bred Cadiz, I only have my eyes from China. They can put ”made in china” on my forehead,” she joked. In love, she had not been particularly lucky, so she was open to finding a devoted boy with a pretty look.
Her date was going to be Jahaziel, a 29-year-old Venezuelan, who considered himself a very sociable, active and happy boy. The first impression among the singles was very different. While Mari Luz seemed delighted with him at first, the bachelor was greatly disappointed. ”He has good hair,” she declared. ”I wasn’t expecting to meet an Asian woman, I was hoping to meet someone more like my tastes, brunette or blonde,” he said. But despite the good impression she had had, the single woman changed her mind minutes later. ”I’m attracted to her, but I don’t know how much I like guys,” she said.
After exchanging their first words, Laura Boado accompanied the couple to their table, where they began the evening talking about their hobbies. Mari Luz said that she was a big fan of everything related to adrenaline, like amusement parks. In addition, she considered herself a great fan of techno music and sports. A point that she had in common with the bachelor.
However, their differences were going to take center stage at dinner. One of the most striking was the food. The single woman confessed to being a person who loved to eat everything, while Jahaziel was more focused on taking care of her diet. ”I have cried over the food and everything,” she said.
In the final stretch of the dinner, the single woman opened up about her ideal prototype of a boy. ”I like blondes with light eyes and then simply that they have tastes in common with me and that we think alike. That is to say, if I am an open person, I go forward with everything and I see that the other person is not the same, that they can stop me because then it sort of crashes,” she commented. Some requirements that Jahaziel did not meet. ”It lacks spark, it lacks salt, it lacks art, it lacks life. I want life, explosiveness, I want someone like me,” the single woman stated.
Moments later, the singles moved to the program’s booth, where they experienced an awkward moment by avoiding a kiss. ”I wasn’t going to give him a kiss, but I didn’t expect anything either, but if he comes in I’ll stay away,” the single woman clarified. Therefore, in the final decision, both decided to leave the program alone and on separate paths.
