During the next twelve months, do you think that the political situation in the Valencian Community will change? This is one of the questions that have been asked in the barometer of the Generalitat Valenciana with 5,010 interviews carried out by Sigma Dos between October 11 and December 5, 2022. Well, 51.4% of those surveyed believe that ” will remain”, 12.8% affirm that it will improve and 23.9% that it will worsen; which translates, according to this study, that more than half of Valencians believe that there will be no significant political changes after 28M.

The barometer, which has been coordinated by Ana Berenguer, General Director of Analysis and Public Policies of the Generalitat Valenciana, conveys that the three main problems that Valencians expose are, in this order, health, unemployment and the high cost and increase of the prices of the products. An important fact is that corruption has practically disappeared as a concern of the citizens of the Valencian Community, when in 2015 it was the main concern.

Another important piece of information from the barometer is concern about the general economic situation. Because compared to Spain (CIS data), Valencians are less concerned about their personal situation. And it is striking how the defense of the Autonomous State has grown among Valencians from 2015 to now. Eight years ago, the current territorial organization was only defended by 36.9% of Valencians compared to 40.3% who preferred to abolish the autonomies. In the 2022 barometer, the defense of the Autonomous State is supported by 55.8% of Valencians compared to 24.6% who do not want it.
