Ford Spain moves its headquarters from Madrid to Valencia, news that has just been announced this Thursday and that follows in the wake of PowerCo, which last Monday announced an identical change of headquarters after the visit of the president of the Generalitat Valenciana to its offices. from Madrid to the Valencian capital.

The company has reported that Ford España S.L. will re-establish, effective January 1, 2024, its registered office in Almussafes (Valencia), where it was originally incorporated in September 1973.

The company explains that the Almussafes factory represents the main headquarters of its operations in Spain and ensures that “this change of address will not imply any movement of personnel or facilities, nor will it have a tax impact on the company, since the tax address has always been located in Valencia”.

The company has been manufacturing vehicles in Almussafes since 1976, and since then the car and engine manufacturing activities have produced more than 12 million vehicles and 16 million engines, and it is among the largest exporters of the industry in Spain. About 90% of the vehicles produced in Valencia are exported to more than 75 countries around the world, including the US.

Regarding the return of the headquarters of Ford Spain to Almussafes, this is great news for the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, “an important endorsement of what the stability and confidence of the Valencian Community means.” For the president, it is also a commitment to the future, as was the choice of the Almussafes factory as the electrification platform in Europe.
