Just over a week after the death of Laura Valenzuela, the first presenter in Spain, her daughter Lara Dibildos has sat down at Viernes Deluxe to give her most personal and emotional interview.

Dibildos, the only daughter of the presenter who died at the age of 92 on March 17, has assured Jorge Javier Vázquez that Valenzuela needed to be able to rest after spending many years battling an illness: “She was a fighter, she had tremendous strength. but there comes a time when she has had a tremendous quality of life. It was time for her to say that if she was not going to have that same quality of life… it was time.”

Despite the fact that the veteran communicator was in poor health, Dibildos, broken with pain and unable to avoid crying, has acknowledged that her head was in the right place: “She knew us until the end. Me and her grandchildren and the people we were with she”.

Taking advantage of the fact that the presenter was aware of everything that was happening, Dibildos told Deluxe how he said goodbye to her: “I didn’t keep quiet. I must have thought that my daughter is heavy. I spoke to her. You don’t know. They tell you that they listen, but everything beautiful things, with love”.

Valenzuela and Dibildos were inseparable. Despite being mother and daughter, both had a great relationship. They were always together: “When I was sick with cancer, my father couldn’t come, someone had to work, and she was the one who accompanied me to Houston. Then she had breast cancer and there were two of us too.” But it was the death of producer José Luis Dibildos that united them even more.

Precisely, both decided during the coronavirus pandemic that they were going to live together. In this way, they both kept each other company and Dibildos could be more attentive to his mother, who also enjoyed the company of her grandchildren: “Her joy was her grandchildren. When I went on a trip and returned, she was happy… we ate together , we had breakfast together. She rested a lot… we’ve had a lot of moments.”

However, Dibildos has also regretted all those times when she has not been able to spend more time with her mother: “I have had to work a lot, I have locked myself up a lot to write and being in the same house I was locked up. Maybe I could I’ve spent time with her. Sometimes I’m sorry I didn’t spend more time with my mother.”
