More headaches for Princess Marta Luisa of Norway. Her courtship with the shaman Durek Verrett, to whom she became engaged in June 2022 but it is still unknown when they will marry, seems to give her more sorrow than joy. Now that it seemed that the kings Harald and Sonia had accepted her daughter’s relationship with the spiritual guru, a new chapter of the soap opera opens with the appearance on stage of Verret’s mother.

Until now, nothing was known about the shaman’s family. But the mother, Veruschka Urquhart, 79, has spoken for the first time and her words do not do well with her son. The future mother-in-law of Princess Marta Luisa has given an interview to the Norwegian magazine Se og Hør.

The woman, who claims to be a seer and to have spiritual gifts, has said of her son: “He does not work for the world, he works against the world. He doesn’t work for the people, he works against the people. Durek does not help you find the divine light. He takes you into his light, where he can infiltrate and manipulate you.”

Veruschka Urquhart, whose birth name is Sheila G. Farmer, says that her relationship with her son has been deteriorating and that they barely have contact. The origin of the estrangement would have been her disagreements about the use of Durek’s powers. She is convinced that her son has inherited his spiritual powers, but that he uses them in a somewhat perverse way.

Veruschka, who lives alone in New York, had a difficult time when she contracted covid. At Christmas, her 48-year-old son and Marta Luisa, 51, visited the city along with the princess’s daughters: Maud Angelica Behn, 19, Leah Isadora Behn, 17, and Emma Tallulah Behn, 14. However, Durek and Marta Luisa did not visit the shaman’s mother, something for which Veruschka feels hurt. She affirms that she has never met in person who she will be her daughter-in-law, but that they have been able to speak on the phone.

A few years ago the relationship between mother and son seemed to be good. In 2018, Durek dedicated some nice words to his mother on Facebook on the occasion of Mother’s Day. “My wonderful and powerful mother, the oracle who gave me life and wisely guided me to love women and let them be queens with honor and respect,” he wrote of Veruschka Urquhart.

Despite the darts she has thrown at her son, Durek’s mother is enthusiastic about the wedding of Marta Luisa and her son, although there is still no date. She is very grateful to the King and Queen of Norway for the good treatment they have always given her son, since, despite not agreeing with certain ways of proceeding by Marta Luisa and her fiancé, King Harald and the Queen Sonia have never publicly criticized her future son-in-law.

The engagement of the sister of the heir to the Scandinavian throne and her partner was announced in June 2022, after three years of dating. Marta Luisa was then euphoric with happiness: “I am so happy to announce that I am engaged to the shaman Durek, the one who makes my heart beat, the one who sees me and considers me my highest potential, who makes me laugh and with whom I can be vulnerable,” he wrote on social media.

Last January, the couple postponed their wedding for his health reasons. At that time there was talk of a “worsening kidney disease” that the spiritual guide assures that he suffers.
