The Community of Madrid has launched the new Maternity and Paternity Portal, which gathers all the information on the programs, grants and public resources of the Autonomous Administration for maternity and paternity.
This web space offers useful information and resources, including advice on health and care for mothers and babies from birth to adolescence; and allows access, through any computer or mobile device, to all the information on the programs, grants and resources to support the birth and protection of the family available to the Community of Madrid.
The portal, which also offers a live chat attended 24 hours a day, contains information for those who want to be parents, with information on assisted reproduction programs in the regional network of public hospitals (diagnostic tests, types of techniques and conditions of access to the different treatments), as well as the programs and procedures for the adoption and fostering of minors.
Also for pregnant women, with specialized information on the care and health care of women during the process and at the time of delivery (with specific data on the different public hospitals in the Community of Madrid) and after the birth of the baby.
Likewise, users will be able to find out about carrying out legal procedures after the birth and health care for the mother and baby (medical tests, vaccinations, food, sleep and hygiene habits and development of the different stages of growth of the child), as well as learn practical advice on breastfeeding and to prevent accidents.
On the other hand, it offers information, advice and access to services and programs aimed at all those pregnant women who may require emotional support, who are going through situations of stress or anxiety or who are in a situation of vulnerability.
Among these resources are the maternity centers, which offer comprehensive support to pregnant women in vulnerable situations, and 012 Maternity Support itself.
From the Maternity and Paternity Portal you can also directly access the birth aid search engine that began operating in May 2022 and that allows citizens, in a simple way, to access and process the aid contemplated in the 2022 Strategy -2026 Protection of Maternity and Paternity and Promotion of Birth and Reconciliation.
It also includes direct access to the issuance of the large family title or for the application for adoption or fostering of minors, and information will be offered to parents on access to nursery schools and the educational system for their children, as well as information of interest for large families, among other issues.
Since last year, a total of 8,412 grants contemplated in the strategy have been recognized, 500 euros per child per month for mothers under 30 years of age, from the fifth month of pregnancy until the child turns 2, which adds up to total of 14,500 euros.
