In Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can contemplate this series of images with the moon of the swallows in the sanctuary of Rocaprevera de Torelló, in the region of Osona.
The full moon in April is known as the Pink Moon or Pascual Moon, as it coincides with Easter. It is the first of spring, so it also marks the dates of Easter.
The sanctuary is located on Puig de las Tres Creus. Originally it was an oratory, from the 13th century, which had to be rebuilt three times.
In the 18th century it was in a dilapidated state and the chapel was demolished and built again by popular initiative. The works lasted between 1780 and 1805.
The current ensemble, made up of the church and the hermit’s house, is a nineteenth-century work by the architect Josep Maria Pericas i Morros.
