The history of the motorcycle as a mass vehicle has been written by the medium displacements. For decades, machines from 250 to 350 cc represented the utility motorcycles par excellence; valid both to go to work every day and to enjoy a vacation outing. It is enough to remember the Spanish machines of the 70s, the Montesa, the Bultaco, the Sanglas… to realize that what was required of a motorcycle was precisely versatility and functionality.
Starting in the late 80s, when technology became cheaper, there was a drunkenness of horses and displacements that -little by little and fortunately- the market is leaving behind. Years in which it seemed that if a motorcycle did not have more than 100 CV and 750 cc at least, it could not be considered fun.
Nowadays, either because of the bad image generated by speed or because of the successive economic crises that have punished pockets, sanity has returned to recover and the 300 to 350 cc motorcycle segment is precisely one of those that more is pulling in sales.
