Luxor Barcelona Love Rooms is precisely an example of the success that love hotels have achieved. This establishment opened its doors in 2006 following in the footsteps of the old furniture, those places where people went to meet secretly. But the concept, perhaps austere and cold for our times, did not quite come together. It was in 2014, when they rethought the business and decided to focus it on a hotel model that would fit any user profile, while still offering the peculiarities that this type of establishment offers.
It was an attempt to recover a Barcelona concept that disappeared last decade with the closure of the Casita Blanca, the only facility of its kind that had survived in Barcelona after it had proliferated and had its best moment during the 1960s and 1970s.
