A fire without injuries has completely burned down a commercial premises dedicated to the sale of bicycles on Paseo Jaume I in Salou.
The Firefighters received a notice around 10:43 p.m. on Tuesday night and had to intervene with seven crews.
When the emergency services arrived at the premises, the fire was fully developed. The establishment is located on the ground floor of a seven-story building and, due to the smoke, seven residents had to confine themselves to their homes and another 23 left the house on their own feet as a security measure.
As soon as the fire was extinguished, the Firefighters confirmed the good condition of the residents who had stayed in their homes and ventilated the stairs, as well as the surrounding apartments and premises.
According to a source from the Fire Department, most of the 19 homes in the building were empty at the time of the events, although the residents were able to return to their homes the same night.
