Nintendo has just released the latest trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the new installment in this acclaimed series of adventure games that will hit stores on May 12 for the Nintendo Switch console.
The video, which can be seen below and is almost 4 minutes long, shows many new details about the game’s story, characters and locations. With a fast-paced montage, the trailer offers a glimpse into a multitude of previously unknown details, so fans allergic to spoilers might do well to skip it.
While the previous video was totally focused on the new playable mechanics, this new trailer is much more intense and offers a first look at returning iconic characters, such as Ganondorf, the great antagonist of the series. Zelda also has a great role, but there are still many doubts about her role in this new adventure.
Aware of the great expectation that exists for this game, the Japanese company announced yesterday in advance the publication of the trailer. In addition, although there is still almost a month left for the release of Link’s new adventure, Nintendo have made it clear that this will be “the last trailer” until the launch of the game.
Tears of the Kingdom is the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, one of the highest rated games in the entire history of the interactive medium and a commercial success with more than 30 million copies sold.
