The period to request aid for the repair and maintenance of bicycles opens this Tuesday, April 18, in accordance with the provisions of Resolution 34/2023 of March 7. The subsidy, which can be applied for until October 2, will be for a maximum of 50 euros per person and bicycle.
Repairs must be requested and carried out in one of the 32 Navarrese workshops attached to the campaign, the list of which can be consulted on the web, both in Spanish and Basque. For their part, the workshops will have a maximum of four months to carry out the repairs with a deadline of October 31. Users will be able to check the status of their application electronically. The beneficiaries of previous campaigns will not be able to participate in this edition.
Regarding the repair, it includes the arrangements of brakes, frame and front fork, bearings, chain, sprockets, chainrings, gear change devices, covers, tubes, saddle, seatpost and battery.
Regarding maintenance, cleaning and greasing work may be subsidized; wheel centering and spoke adjustment or replacement; the adjustment of brakes, the change of shoes and adjustment of levers, change of pads, discs and bleeding; adjustment of gears and screws; covers and cameras; the transmission, which includes lubrication and cleaning; the substitution of the necessary elements, such as chain, sprockets, sheaves and/or plates, wire ropes and covers.
In addition, aspects related to the installation of equipment and accessories are included, such as lights, bell and mudguards. Likewise, the purchase and installation of child seats will be eligible, the Executive has reported.
