A group of students from the TecnoCampus will bring to Mataró, for the fifth consecutive year, the popular TEDx talks. Under the motto “Personal Growth” next May 17 comes the new edition of TEDxUPFMataró, with the aim of inspiring and transmitting to young people and future entrepreneurs the passion to find their reason for being. This event will be held at the TecnoCampus de Mataró university.

The conference will feature national and international professionals such as Jordi Urbea, vice president of Ogilvy Spain, David Jiménez, former director of the World, Anna Boldú, CEO of Platanomelón, Raquel Fructos CEO of Smart Bubble, the neurosurgeon Jesús Martín or the athlete Àlex Roca , which unites them with the same objective: to contribute to helping people to be their best version.

“The organization of TEDx represents a great challenge, both personally and as a team, since the important thing is to lead a team with great abilities and talents,” said Martina Díaz-Vélez and Ares Sebastia, directors of the event. “This event is an opportunity to bring together brilliant and creative minds and explore transformative ideas that can have a significant impact on the world around us, as well as the educational community. Future generations are growing up and we believe this is the education we deserve Ares reaffirms.

In total, 9 presentations will be held, where TEDxUPFMataró aims to inspire and challenge participants to think outside the box, explore new ideas and transform the world around them.

This year the team is made up of ten girls and boys, students of the TecnoCampus – Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where they participate voluntarily, through a non-profit student association. “This year we return with new ideas, new faces and a lot of passion with everything we do, since last year was a great success under the motto “Reinvent yourself”, a theme with a lot of strength and energy, after going through a difficult year. says Martina.

TecnoCampus aims to promote entrepreneurship to its students and all interested people. “Organizing this event in the TecnoCampus auditorium not only offers us a modern and well-equipped space, but also allows us to have a close relationship with the students of the university, the companies in the business park and the people who live in the Maresme. With the participation of more than 350 people, what we want to work on and will offer are networking spaces from which friendships arise, and long-term professional relationships”, Ares points out.

“I went from being an assistant to an organizer” said Adrià Soler, head of communication. “I was so impacted by last year’s event that I saw the need to collaborate, so that future attendees have the same enhanced experience.”

Tickets for this year’s event are on sale on their website www.tedxupfmataro.es and you can follow the different announcements they publish on their social networks, both on Instagram and LinkedIn.
