Sandro Rosell has been summoned by the chief magistrate of court number 13 in Madrid so that on May 10 the complaint he filed against former commissioner José Manuel Villarejo, other police officers and a former FBI agent can be ratified. Rosell’s ratification will coincide with Villarejo’s statement in the congressional commission that will investigate the Catalonia operation and more generally the activities of the so-called patriotic police.

The former president of Barça denounced them as the perpetrators of an operation against him that led to his entry into preventive detention for two years to end up, finally, acquitted without charges by a court of the National Court.

Judge Hermenegildo Barrera opened the first legal case a few months ago on the so-called Operation Catalunya by accepting Rosell’s complaint and charging the defendants. The rest of the processes against Villarejo are, theoretically, limited to his private business, incompatible with his status as an official. Despite this, Judge Manuel García Castellón, head of the investigative court number 5 of the National Court, investigated the actions of Villarejo linked to the Kitchen operation, aimed at obstructing the action of justice in the investigation into the corruption of the PP. A clearly political commission and not derived from private activities.

The judge of the 13th of Madrid has already charged, as a result of Rosell’s complaint, in addition to Villarejo, the chief inspector Alberto Estévez, alleged author of a good number of the famous false reports of the economic and fiscal crime unit (UDEF) of the National Police; Antonio Giménez Raso, former inspector and partner of Villarejo in Barcelona; and the American Marc L. Varri, former FBI agent. Likewise, he has informed them of his situation and has asked them to prove who is his legal representative.

The judge considers that the facts described in the complaint “lead to presume the possible existence of crimes by criminal organizations: falsification of an official in an official document, false accusation and complaint, embezzlement of public funds and illegal arrests,” according to his order from the past. October 27th.
