The bookstore Vaporvell Llibres and the restaurant Saborós, in Premià de Mar (Maresme), come together every year for Sant Jordi with the “Menú Sant Jordi”. An initiative that fuses two worlds that generate “passion and emotion” in equal parts, gastronomy and literature.

This year, it is already the sixth edition, and during the week of Sant Jordi a special menu can be found in the Saborós restaurant, derived from the stories that books tell us. Xavier Boronat from the Vaporvell Llibres bookstore and Diego Da Pra from the Saborós restaurant collaborate to design unique recipes inspired by various works of literature.

Thus, you can taste the marinated and smoked river omelette salad with oriental tea, ginger vinaigrette and dragon eggs cooked in the dark and gloomy landscapes of J.J. Tolkien or the low-temperature roasted pork cheek with toasted cachelos from Los pazos de Ulloa by Emilia Pardo Bazán that magically transports us to rural Galicia in the 19th century. A tribute to what makes us happy in the framework of the great book festival, Sant Jordi.
