Dominic Raab, Minister of Justice of the British government, one of Rishi Sunak’s trusted men and a close ally within the party, has resigned due to various complaints about workplace harassment of officials.

Sunak received this week the dossier with the accusations that had been leveled against the resigned minister and resisted until this morning to accept his departure from the cabinet. This is a serious setback for the prime minister. He is also the third member of the Sunak Executive to leave the Government.

According to the investigation that was handed over to Sunak, Raab has been accused of workplace harassment in the three departments he has passed through. There are up to eight formal complaints about his behavior: when he was Brexit minister (2018), Foreign Affairs (2019-2021) and in his first stage as Justice minister, between September 2021 and September 2022.

Raab requested a review of his case in November following formal complaints about his behavior by government officials, and Sunak appointed attorney Adam Tolley to lead an independent investigation. The conclusions of the investigation have finally been withering for the minister.
