Over the years, Rebeca Pous has managed to combine her role as an artist and her participation in reality shows and television programs. In 1996, the singer released the song Duro de pelar, which has become a timeless success. For this reason, she surprised everyone with her participation in Survivors decades later.

After this contest, others came such as La casa Fuerte 2 and she has been a collaborator on several shows such as Cazamariposas or El Circ de 8TV. Now that she stays away from the small screen, she has decided to give an interview for Semana magazine in which she has decided not to keep quiet about anything.

Rebeca feels very happy to be able to share the bill with artists of the caliber of Ana Torroja or Paulina Rubio in a concert that will take place in Mexico in the coming days. But in this interview she couldn’t help but look back on herself. “When I started singing, I had very quick success, but then many problems also arose at the recording level,” she expressed.

After the setback she suffered when changing teams for reasons beyond her control, she decided to go to Latin America to recover her career. Something that she had to give up shortly after her father fell ill.

And it is not the only event that occurred that made him have to leave the world of music. Added to this was her desire to be her mother and her interest in taking care of her own mother: “I thought first of them and then of myself.” The love he feels for the woman who gave him her life is so great because of the support he has received from her over the years.

But if there is one thing he wanted to make clear, it is that he defends his participation in the world of television tooth and nail. “She has criticized me for appearing on Interviú as a singer, for doing reality shows… And then look at all those who have gone, even Isabel Pantoja,” he stated.

And he also did not want to overlook commenting on the romance he had with Fran Rivera, which he already talked about in 2010 when it happened. “Many people criticized me, above all, for dedicating a wonderful song titled Matador to her,” she began to relate. With this, she wanted to claim that it is something that other artists like Shakira now do. “He never reported me and, deep down, he was delighted because he knows what happened,” she added.

But that is not all. After ensuring that it was a nice story, he wanted to throw a dart at the former bullfighter. “I continue singing and practicing my profession and, now, he does exactly what he criticized me: go on television talking about his personal things,” he snapped, sending a very direct taunt.
