From the old military watchtower of Santa Caterina, in Manresa, there are spectacular panoramic views. Built in 1836 during the first Carlist war, today it is a splendid viewpoint of the capital of Bages, as can be seen in the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia.

The tower of Santa Caterina is an old fortification that crowns the hill of the same name. It is unmistakable with its cylindrical base, in addition to the fact that it is accompanied by two large sculptures.

It was built during the first war between the Carlists and Liberals in the 19th century. It coincided in time with the expansion of the Puigterrà castle, which has not survived to this day.

The geographical situation of this tower, with the Cardener Valley and Manresa at its feet, allows you to enjoy one of the best panoramic views of the city.

The two large totemic sculptures that accompany it at the top of the hill increase the attraction of the visit, as we can see in the images.
