In Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can contemplate the historic castle of Cardona wrapped in the morning mists of spring.
Cardona Castle, in Bages, is probably the most important medieval fortress in Catalonia. Its jewel is the Minyona tower (from the 11th century), 15 meters high and more than 10 meters in diameter, as well as the Romanesque church of Sant Vicenç.
It is located on a hill that dominates the saline valley and the Cardener valley, as can be seen in the photograph. It was built in the year 886 by Wifredo el Velloso. Romanesque and Gothic in style, it includes the so-called Sala Daurada and the Sala dels Entresòls.
Fog is a meteorological phenomenon, which consists of the suspension of very small droplets of water in the atmosphere or of humid hygroscopic particles, which reduce horizontal visibility at a distance of one kilometer or more.
If the meteorological phenomenon gives a vision of 1 km or less, it is considered as fog; and if it allows you to see more than 1 km, the phenomenon is fog.
