Belén Esteban does not win unfortunately. A little over a week ago, the “people’s princess” went to spend a few days in the Canary Islands with her husband, Miguel Marcos, in search of disconnection and tranquility, but said trip had a bittersweet ending, since one broke of the toes.

It should be noted that the television collaborator is still in the process of recovering from the damage she suffered in the Sálvame program when she fell and broke her tibia and fibula, an injury that caused her to be off work for several months and undergo different operations, as well how to carry out many rehabilitation exercises.

The fateful accident that caused him so many problems in his right leg occurred on April 25, 2022, almost a year ago. Due to the anniversary of the injury, Belén Esteban took advantage of the direct of his program and thanked his most intimate environment in front of all of Spain.

“Tomorrow marks one year of my fall on the set and I want to thank all the people who were by my side and took care of me, like my friends,” said the collaborator of Sálvame very excited from the Telecinco set to later dedicate some very special words to her husband: “But, above all, to that person who took care of me and was by my side every day. I love you my love”.

On April 25, 2022, the management of Sálvame decided to amuse the audience through various tests in which some of their collaborators would compete as if they were competing in Survivors.

One of these tests consisted of holding on to a railing without falling to the ground for as long as possible. Lydia Lozano (62 years old) and Belén Esteban (49 years old) were chosen to carry out such a feat.

Seconds after the stopwatch began to count, Paracuellos’s slipped and fell directly to the ground on her own heels. The bang rang out across the set and he quickly began to complain, since he knew something was wrong. After an initial assessment by the Mediaset medical team, the former Jesulín de Ubrique was transferred to the La Luz hospital, where they confirmed that she had a broken tibia and fibula.

The injury was of such magnitude that Esteban had to be intervened with 20 nails and two 4.5-centimeter plates to weld the bone well. In addition, the collaborator received 55 points. Despite the fact that everything went well, the situation was very hard for the collaborator, both physically and in terms of spirit, since she had to carry out long recovery sessions and was very depressed: “My life stopped . Fear blocked me and I sank.”
