Eurovision 2023 is getting closer. The song festival will be held this year in Liverpool, after it was chosen as the venue for the new edition, after Ukraine’s victory in 2022, where the United Kingdom came second and Spain third.

There are only fifteen days left for the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest to begin and for this reason the monarchs have been present in the lighting of the stage. King Carlos III and Queen Camila have been in charge of pressing the button that was going to activate all the lights in the venue. With a countdown and in the presence of numerous journalists, the monarchs lit up the Liverpool Arena where we could see the spectacular stage, which was already ready for the tournament.

The stage has a surface area of ​​450 square meters, some 220 square meters of moving screens, 700 video mosaics on the floor and more than 1,500 LED lights. In total, a series of characteristics that will be available to the delegations to carry out their actions.

Last January we knew the chosen place in the United Kingdom where the Eurovision Song Contest would be held. Since then we have not stopped knowing more and more details of all the preparation and a few days before the start of the month of May, we can already say that everything is ready.

The BBC announced a few months ago who would be in charge of presenting the festival. Those chosen have been: Alesha Dixon, Graham Norton, Hannah Waddingham and Julia Sanina. The latter is the only representative of Ukraine, as the winning country. All that remains is for May 9 and 11 to arrive, when the two semifinals will be held and on May 13, that of the grand finale, to enjoy one more year of one of the most important events of the year.
