The Business Federation of Badalona (North Barcelona), FEB-PIMEC, has presented the document “Challenges of the future necessary for the economy of Badalona” to the municipal groups represented in the City Council. The document contains a series of proposals in the economic field to be transferred to the Badalonés council that emerges from the next term, after the elections in May.
During the act, the president of FEB-PIMEC, Josep Maria Puente, called for the promotion of three main axes of economic potential that can respond to the objectives of improving the economic capacity of the city: the health sector, the industrial fabric, and The tourism.
One of the points that the president remarked is the urgent need to modernize the entire administration of the Badalona City Council. For Puente, many businessmen, despite seeing the potential of the city, refuse to establish themselves in Badalona due to the excessive bureaucratic slowness of the City Council.
He also proposed the creation of an exclusive department for business and industry, the promotion of industrial estates and work to achieve the burying of the C-31. He considers it essential to unravel projects such as the health hub around Can Ruti, with a new Vocational Training university for Nursing degrees.
Puente has called for the “unity” of the municipal groups to unblock city projects, of vital importance for the local economy. In turn, the different participating political groups have agreed on the need to reach agreements beyond partisanship and all have confirmed the “always” willingness of the Badalona Business Federation to work for the city.
