The sky over Vic, the capital of Osona, has once again been filled with the colors of hot air balloons at the start of the 41st Mercat del Ram Balloon Contest.
The weather conditions this Thursday have been optimal for flying, which the 25 teams from all over the world have done.
The Plaza Major has been the place to spread the balloon fabrics and begin to inflate these devices with air, as can be seen in this photographic report in La Vanguardia’s Readers’ Photos.
The most emblematic test of this popular contest will arrive on Saturday and the team that flies closest to the bell tower of Vic City Hall will win the test.
Today I had the opportunity to fly in a balloon with Heaven Crawley, very friendly and of course a great hot air balloon pilot. An Englishwoman living in Italy, this contest participant has made a perfect landing in the middle of a rural road.
