The man, identified as P.V.S., 31 years old and Spanish nationality, was arrested late in the afternoon after turning himself in at the National Police Station in the Latina district. The arrested man, who is still in police custody this Friday morning, had fled on foot after the fatal attacks that left two people dead and several injured.

The detainee has a police record for theft of catalysts. He did not have a valid driver’s license and had a record for theft of this type of highly coveted component on the black market.

Two other occupants of the vehicle involved, a Mercedes, were arrested at the scene, between Paseo de Extremadura and Saavedra Fajardo street. It is about a 25-year-old woman, a tourist owner, and a 27-year-old man, who was bruised after the hit-and-run although he was discharged at the scene.
