The National Police have arrested in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat a man who had kidnapped and habitually mistreated his sentimental partner, only 18 years old, who has already been released.
The investigation began upon receiving an anonymous complaint that a man had his partner locked up and was threatening her and her family. She did not have access to her mobile phone without her consent. He sexually assaulted her and had her locked in her room, where he punished her by sleeping on the floor with her hands tied.
The agents were able to locate the attacker’s home and on April 19, the victim could be located leaving her home with the attacker, who was immediately arrested.
At the time of being intercepted, the attacker had the victim’s mobile phone. The woman did not have house keys and she was always locked in her room. She had to ask permission to go to the bathroom. The man regularly assaulted her and on one occasion she threw alcohol at her face and neck and then set it on fire with a lighter.
Once released, the victim was transferred to the hospital and then to the L’Hospitalet Mossos d’Esquadra police station. The detainee was handed over to the acting court for violence against women in Esplugues de Llobregat on April 21, which ordered her to be imprisoned without bail.
