A Moroccan citizen in his 30s, Mohamed, died early Wednesday morning after receiving two stab wounds to the chest in the course of a brawl that occurred in the Cerezo neighborhood of the Macarena district of the Andalusian capital, according to Diario de Sevilla.
For the moment, the Homicide Group of the National Police is keeping an investigation into this crime open, without any arrests having been made.
The victim, Mohamed, is a homeless man who used to park cars on Avenida de San Lázaro, where he lived in an abandoned Citroën Xsara.
According to what some of his colleagues told the aforementioned local newspaper, on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday he went to ask a group of people of Latino origin for a joint, whom he knew sold narcotics. They didn’t give it to him and they started arguing. That fight led to a brawl and subsequent stabbing of the Moroccan.
Police sent several patrols to the scene. Upon arrival, the agents urgently requested an ambulance due to the seriousness of the victim’s injuries, which they tried to plug. However, he died without the health services being able to do anything to save his life.
The victim’s body was transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine, in the San Jerónimo funeral home, where an autopsy will be performed to confirm the cause of death.
The victim was known to the Police, as he had a valid expulsion order from the country. One of his friends, a countryman from the same neighborhood in Morocco, told Diario de Sevilla that the police went to look for him at his house to try to find out something about the murder, although he did not witness it because he had been at his home since eleven o’clock. middle of the night “I have heard that they are looking for some Colombians who were selling marijuana,” said this man. He was also asked if he knew any relatives of the victim.
Another brawl took place about 3 hours before the crime a few meters from where the Moroccan valet died, in the RocÃo neighborhood that is located on the other side of Avenida de San Lázaro.
On that occasion, another Moroccan citizen was seriously injured after receiving at least one stab wound, also to the chest.
The alleged attacker is a resident of Spanish nationality who was detained by the National Police.
The victim was transferred in a very serious condition to the Virgen Macarena Hospital.
According to the local newspaper, the attacker and the stabbed live in the same building and one of the residents of the block explained that the alleged attacker has drug problems and that the victim had a mania for him.
