Erase and new account. That is what Amber Heard seems to have decided to do after her horrible 2022. The actress has cut her losses and at least for now with Hollywood, leaving the city of lights and moving with her daughter Oonagh to our country, where she seems to have found the peace and quiet that he so longed for.
It is not for less, because after being involved and becoming the most persecuted villain after her media trial against her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, who practically ruined her career; it was best to start over. She started in a small town in Mallorca, and now she has decided on Madrid, where she will settle permanently.
As revealed by the journalist Alison Boshoff in the Daily Mail newspaper, the actress has found in our country the stability she needed to live with her little girl, far from all the commotion caused by the trial against Depp. The actress has already sold her residence in Yucca Valley (California, USA) -for which she got more than a million euros-, so she has plenty of capital. Thus, the actress has already settled in an undetermined place on the outskirts of Madrid.
“I don’t think he’s in a rush to go back to Hollywood, but he probably will in a while, if the right project comes along,” Boshoff says. At the moment, the actress’s latest project is her role as Meera, in Aquaman 2.
Johnny Depp, for his part, also seems to have left Hollywood – although not his professional career, which he would be recovering little by little after years of ostracism. The actor, still mourning the death of his great friend and concert partner Jeff Beck, has settled in the English countryside, where he dedicates time to painting and music, two of his great hobbies.
There he lives on an extensive 340-hectare estate, in which stands an imposing 19th-century mansion, valued at 14 million euros and which has twelve bedrooms, eight bathrooms and walled gardens. He bought it in 2014, shortly before marrying Amber in 2015.
Two radical changes in the lives of both interpreters since they last crossed paths at the end of 2022, at which time the actress agreed to reach an out-of-court agreement with her former husband. Heard agreed to pay a million dollars to close the chapter on the defamation lawsuit, which summed up his settlement with Depp, and the cessation of her own appeal of the case, a process that she had initiated three months earlier.
