The Mossos d’Esquadra are investigating a former children’s soccer coordinator from Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, who was arrested for the third time yesterday morning, for alleged sexual assaults on minors that he would have committed when he worked for this sports entity, of which he was later pulled apart.

According to RAC1 and sources from the Mossos d’Esquadra have confirmed, the former coordinator of the Unification Football Club, 28, had already been arrested twice as the alleged perpetrator of two crimes of sexual assault, although it is being investigated whether he has assaulted six other minors.

At the moment, it is unknown if this new arrest is due to a third complaint or is the result of the Catalan police’s own investigation. After his new arrest, the alleged perpetrator of these sexual assaults was yesterday in the premises of the Mossos de Sabadell police station, waiting to go to court in the coming days.

The first of the arrests occurred on January 11 of this year, after a young woman reported to the Mossos that she had been the victim of a sexual assault nine years earlier; the second occurred on April 17, when a second minor reported that she had also been the subject of a sexual assault in December 2022.

In addition to the investigation of these two alleged attacks that led to the arrest of the former coordinator of this football club on two occasions, the Catalan police are also investigating other alleged cases that occurred last year and of which at least six were victims. minors, according to the Godó Group radio station.

Mossos sources explain that these sexual assaults would have been committed in a sports environment, although that does not mean that they had taken place on the club’s premises.

After this sports entity became aware of the facts, the investigated man was separated from the team. Judicial sources detailed that there are currently two legal proceedings open with the suspect as the protagonist.

In January 2003, a complaint was registered for the sexual assault of a minor under 16 years of age in the investigating courts number 4 of Mollet del Vallès, which decreed provisional release and was inhibited in court number 2, competent in the matter.

The second complaint was filed last April in the investigating court number 3 of Sabadell. In that case, provisional release was decreed, passport withdrawal, prohibition to leave the territory, restraining order of at least one thousand meters from the victim and isolation by any means. In addition, special disqualification was agreed for carrying out any profession, trade or activity, paid or not, that involves regular and direct contact with minors.
