Shakira became the absolute protagonist of the first edition of the Billboard Latin Women in Music Awards this first weekend. The Colombian singer made her first public appearance in Miami, where she moved to live in early April with her children, to receive the “Woman of the Year” award.
Very excited and happy to be back in the United States after a difficult year, the interpreter of Hip’s don’t lie collected the award from Maluma, whom she later thanked for the gesture. “To complete a perfect night, receive this award from Maluma. Thank you, colleague,” she wrote on her social networks.
The singer appeared at the Watsco Center in Miami with an impact look with which she boasted endless legs and a very slim figure. Shakira opted for a black minidress, one of her favorite items of clothing, with which she caused a sensation when she went on stage.
The Colombian opted for a design with a strapless neckline topped with a leather band that was also present at the bottom of the skirt. In addition, the piece had a side slit on the skirt that seemed to expose her leg but actually had a nude patch.
She completed the look with black strappy sandals and her very long, wavy hair, a hairstyle that has become one of her favorites in recent months. As for her makeup, she chose to highlight her eyes with eyeliner and her lips in a flattering pink tone.
Shakira wanted to take advantage of the speech to thank her mother for her great support. “Despite the difficulties you have faced this year, you are still standing, with your limitless love and resilience. For me, mommy, you have been the woman of the year,” said the singer on an unforgettable night where she met several colleagues professional.
