There are already many brotherhoods that have started the pilgrimage path to El RocÃo, which is why the Junta de AndalucÃa has activated the Romero Plan 2023 from 8 in the morning on Monday to guarantee the smooth flow of the pilgrimage both during the pilgrimage of the brotherhoods as in the village.
Guaranteeing the safety of pilgrims, animal welfare and care for the environment is the main objective of this plan, the 112 Emergency service of Andalusia has reported.
This year there are more than 6,600 troops who make up a device that in its 39-year history will live its edition with more technological advances.
There are many pilgrims who have already put on their boots to make the way. At the end of the day this Sunday there will be 11 brotherhoods that will be making a pilgrimage; The first to leave was last Thursday the Brotherhood of Córdoba, which was joined this Saturday by those of Écija and Osuna (Seville), Málaga la Caleta and Málaga La Real, and Puente Genil (Córdoba) and this Monday they will do Carmona, El Viso del Alcor and Tocina (Seville), Estepona (Málaga) and Lucena de Córdoba.
The roads this year will be dry, so they will have to take extreme precautionary measures to avoid fires and this year you will not be able to see the christening stamp of the new sprinklers in the Quema ford because it does not have water as is the case with much of the Doñana Natural Park through which many of the pilgrims go to the village of El RocÃo in Almonte.
For the first time, the device has the EsAlert or reverse 112 system, through which messages with emergency alerts can be sent to pilgrims’ mobiles, and incorporates, as a test, fifty devices from the future Network of Emergency Radio of the Junta de AndalucÃa.
Another novelty are the capacity control cameras and people flow analysis that will allow real-time knowledge of where the highest concentrations are being recorded, to modulate the response of the operation and anticipate possible needs.
Also in the technological chapter, pilgrims will once again have the Advanced Location System for Mobile Phones, an instrument that provides 112 with the exact coordinates of pilgrims who make an emergency call.
In addition, the Andalusian Emergency Group (GREA) will carry out daily reconnaissance flights with drones in areas of special concentration, as well as in different access areas to the village.
To these tools will be added one more year the installation of the 127 GPS devices that allow the follow-up of the sympathies of the brotherhoods that make the way.
The device also increases the number of members of the Infoca Plan, up to 400; and regarding the health operation, which is deployed by the Health Emergencies Center (CES 061) jointly with the primary care emergency services of the Andalusian Health Service, it has advanced that this RocÃo will provide a total of 8,604 hours and 717 care shifts
From today until the deactivation of the plan on June 1, the Advanced Command Posts of Villamanrique, in Seville, Bajo de GuÃa, in Sanlúcar de Barrameda and the Integrated Operational Coordination Center of the Village will be operating, which will close one day before, also with news.
In addition, on Pentecost Sunday, the Hermitage Operation will be launched, with an Advanced Sanitary Post and a Coordination Post, on the Paseo Marismeño for the procession of the Virgen del RocÃo.
