On March 20, 8 lucky members of the Vanguardia Club and their companions lived a delicious gastronomic experience at the foot of Montjuïc, in the innovative Simultaneo restaurant, located on the ground floor of the Hotel Catalonia Barcelona Plaza. There they were able to enjoy a private showcooking, in a reserved space of the spacious and spectacular premises, they were delighted with a magnificent selection of dishes and lived an unforgettable evening full of unique flavors.
An exclusive event that allowed them to see first-hand the menu created by Paco Hernández in the non-stop cuisine restaurant, known for its tapas and traditional dishes with a touch of originality, as the guests were able to see with dishes such as the Russian salad, which incorporates a semi-salting of bonito, salmon roe and black garlic.
During the showcooking, chef Kiku Ventura delighted the guests with his skill in the kitchen and his detailed explanations. His close and friendly treatment was reflected in each interaction, and he even invited them to come closer while he prepared and explained succulent dishes such as beef steak tartare and Paris coffee butter cream, or grilled octopus and mango with black garlic and toasted sesame, in addition to other off-menu delicacies such as smoked Ametlla de Mar bull with tomatoes and pickled roses or grilled flowering artichoke with carbonara and Iberian dewlap.
After each demonstration, guests had the privilege of tasting the creations freshly made by the chef and kitchen team. From the first bite to the last, each dish was a delight for the palate. The evening culminated with a homemade dulce de leche flan that provided the perfect finishing touch, leaving all attendees with the satisfaction of having had a truly exceptional experience.
