Seven autonomous communities are on alert this Tuesday, with Andalusia, Murcia and the Valencian Community in orange (significant risk), due to the forecast of rains of up to 40 liters per square meter in one hour, especially on the coast, and storms with heavy hail. and plenty of electrical equipment.

At the yellow level, due to a slightly lower risk than the previous one, Aragon, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia and Navarra are also on alert, according to the latest data provided by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) on its website.

In Andalusia, strong storms and accumulated rains of 30 liters per square meter in one hour are expected in the eastern end, in Almería, and up to 100 liters in 12 hours, in addition to storms.

In the Valencian Community, the accumulated rainfall will be up to 40 liters in one hour and although it is at a yellow level in the morning, in the early hours of the afternoon it will turn orange due to a significant risk.

Heavy rain, hail and abundant electrical equipment are expected in Alicante and also in Valencia, as well as storms, with precipitation accumulations of up to 60 liters per square meter in 12 hours, mainly in the Xátiva area and also in Valencia.

The accumulations of water have left some twenty municipalities in the Vega Baja and Baix Vinalopó regions without class, waiting to see how the weather forecast evolves for Wednesday.

DANA is wreaking havoc in the Region of Murcia, one of the most affected communities, with an orange notice. There the rains will be 30 liters per hour and up to 100 liters in 12 hours in various parts of the region, especially on the coast. Specifically, in several municipalities of the Comarca del Campo de Cartagena.

In Aragon, the yellow alert will be activated at mid-morning in Huesca, Teruel and Zaragoza, where rainfall will accumulate 20 liters per square meter in one hour and there will also be storms with the possibility of hail in the three provinces.

Also in Castilla-La Mancha, the yellow warning will be activated at mid-morning in Albacete, due to amounts of rain similar to the previous one, as well as storms and occasional hail.

In Catalonia, rainfall will accumulate 20 liters per square meter in one hour in Barcelona, ​​Lleida and Tarragona and storms with the possibility of hail are also expected, which will activate the yellow alert at mid-morning.

In Navarra, storms and rainfall will accumulate 15 liters per square meter in one hour and will be more frequent and intense in the eastern half.

This episode will continue for the next few hours, with the highest incidence in Andalusia, the Region of Murcia and the Valencian Community, where there is an orange warning (significant risk), due to the forecast of rains of up to 40 liters per square meter in one hour, especially on the coast. , in addition to storms with hail and abundant electrical equipment.
