These have not been easy months for Jorge Javier Vázquez. After the unexpected cancellation of ‘Save me’, the presenter has decided to put his career on hold to focus on his health.

As Mediaset has pointed out, the Catalan has decided to take medical leave due to a health problem that would force him to be absent from the sets of ‘Survivors’ and ‘Save me’.

“We inform you that Jorge Javier Vázquez is temporarily unavailable due to a medical prescription. From Mediaset España we wish him a speedy recovery,” the communication group said.

Jorge Javier has not been in front of the cameras for a week, an unusual fact that alerted his followers. Carlos Sobera, his substitute at the last Survivors gala on Thursday, tried to calm the spectators by stating: “I know what they are thinking, ‘you have to see what Jorge Javier Vázquez has made handsome’ -humor always appeases-. That you know that Jorge Javier is indisposed, but nothing happens. He is already calm, relaxed and recovered and next Thursday he will come. Today it is your turn to put up with me, it is what it is”.

So far, it is unknown how long the presenter will be out, as well as the reasons behind this decision. This loss comes during a tense moment in Jorge Javier’s professional career, since various reports have suggested that Mediaset intends to liquidate the contract that the communicator has with the group until 2025.
