Night when the Moon and Venus shine, shining in the sky of Torelló, in Osona, with great prominence after a dusk marked by clouds, as can be seen in the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia.
Keep in mind that the Moon and Venus are the two brightest celestial bodies in the sky after the Sun.
The Moon is Earth’s only natural satellite. With an equatorial diameter of 3,476 km, it is the fifth largest satellite in the solar system. The Moon is in a synchronous relationship with the Earth, that is, it always shows the same face towards the planet.
The visible hemisphere is marked with dark lunar maria of volcanic origin among the bright ancient mountains and prominent astroblemes.
For its part, Venus is the second planet in the solar system in order of proximity to the Sun and the third in terms of size in ascending order after Mercury and Mars.
It is named after Venus, the Roman goddess of love. Being the second brightest natural object after the Moon, it can be seen in a clear night sky with the naked eye, like last night from Torelló.
