In the conversation with the outlet, Chaparro acknowledges that it is “a real honor” that Piqueras has thought of her to fill that position because returning to Informativos Telecinco is returning home, to a space that she left to present Noticias Cuatro in 2017.
”I’m very happy. Let’s see how I feel again because I haven’t done the news for many years, let’s see what’s up,” expressed the very excited communicator before joking that this is like riding a bike and that ”you never forget”.

The communication professional has also talked about something more personal: her body. She just turned 50 and feels that many things have changed because of her age, but also because of a medication she is taking that has made her gain weight.
“I have to reconcile with my body because that’s the only way it evolves,” the journalist answered optimistically while assuring that there were days when it was difficult for her to “recognize herself.”
When asked about whether the reason she had gained weight was really the medication, Carmen Chaparro had no problem in acknowledging that the treatment is one of the main causes, but that there are other factors: “Premenopause, which I think it’s going to touch me, age…”.
