The engagement between the billionaire, 59, and his partner, 53, took place while they were on holiday in the south of France, where they arrived last weekend on their sailboat from the Balearic Islands. The couple attended the premiere of Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday.
Bezos and Sánchez have spent a few days sailing the waters of the Mediterranean aboard their impressive €500 million yacht. At 127 meters long, it is the second largest in the world, surpassed only by Sailing Yacht A of the Russian tycoon Andrey Melnichenko.
