British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak tonight wished Catherine Princess of Wales a “full and speedy” recovery following her shocking cancer diagnosis. The president led other British politicians in sending good wishes to the princess, saying she “has shown tremendous bravery.”
“She has shown tremendous bravery with her statement today. In recent weeks she has been the subject of intense scrutiny and has been treated unfairly by certain sections of the media around the world and on social media,” said Sunak. on his official X profile (formerly Twitter).
“When it comes to health issues, like everyone else, he should be given the privacy to focus on his treatment and be with his beloved family,” the politician also indicated.
Princess Catherine of Wales announced this Friday afternoon that she had been diagnosed with cancer at the age of 42 and that she is receiving “preventive” chemotherapy. As described by Prince William’s wife, she is now on an early “road to recovery” after beginning treatment at the end of February.
In a video message filmed on Wednesday on a garden bench near Windsor Castle, near where the Prince and Princess of Wales reside, Middleton revealed that the news had come as a “huge shock” and that she and the Prince Guillermo “have been doing everything they can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.”
