Two days after the alleged vote-buying in Melilla, in which the Coalition for Melilla formation is involved, became known, and 24 hours after a similar case was uncovered in Mojácar (AlmerÃa), with two members of the PSOE involved, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who had remained silent until now, has spoken to send a message of confidence in the Spanish electoral system, to ask that they go to vote en masse on Sunday, and to ask the PSOE to act. And in his opinion, the action can only go in one direction: break all ties with the Coalición Por Melilla and resign from the Mojácar list.
In a morning event in Valencia, where Feijóo returned because he puts the Valencian Community as a symbol of the change that will take him to La Moncloa, the president of the PP asked for “responsibilities” to the parties that “have made these mistakes”, because what happened are “very serious” frauds. That is why he asked the PSOE “to break with the Muslim coalition in Melilla”, but not to break the Government now, that there are only two days left before it stops ruling, but to “commit to never agree with it again”. , and stressed: “We promise not to agree with them.”
And it does not stop there, it also asks the PSOE to “review the list of its party in Mojácar and see if it is appropriate or not to continue with this list.” A measured reaction, they emphasize in the PP, despite the fact that yesterday, in the mouth of the PP, what prevailed was the question of what the PSOE’s reaction would have been if those arrested for their involvement in buying votes had been the PP.
A reaction in which Feijóo, above all else, expressed his confidence “in the Spanish democratic system and in the Spanish electoral system.” The president of the PP was firm: “I believe in the democratic system of my country and I believe that our country’s electoral system” which in his opinion “has all the guarantees”, although when there are few people “who have no principles”, all they are few. That is why it is also offered to the PSOE so that if the procedure for voting by mail needs to be reviewed to give it more guarantees, it should be done quickly.”
And the third element of Alberto Núñez Feijóo’s reaction to these alleged frauds was “to ask that everyone vote en masse on Sunday”, because “we cannot be ashamed of people who do not respect democracy, and we can only respond to them by voting massively on Sunday, so that the fraud is not consumed”.
Feijóo stopped this Thursday, again, in Valencia, after the act on Sunday in the Plaza de Toros, and except for an act that he has this afternoon in Murcia, he will tour part of the province of Valencia, with stops in Requena and Quart de Poblet . And he will return tomorrow to hold his first campaign closing rally also in this community, but this time in Alicante.
And it is that the PP has already indicated Valencia as the symbol that “change begins on Sunday”, sure as they are of being able not only to win but to govern in the City Council and in the Generalitat, although Feijóo always prudent stressed that “it would be sad to that when you see the Cathedral of Santiago do not enter through the Portico de la Gloria.
There Feijóo spoke “of change”, that “the only expectation is that there will be a new political moment in Spain”, and for this change to materialize he returned to the proposals, especially in economic matters. But first he asked Sánchez to “stop financing his campaign with Spanish money” because that money, he stressed, “must be returned”, and he recalled that the European Union already warned him yesterday, which is asking him to reduce spending at 9,300 million euros. Feijóo also denounced that in various autonomous communities governed by the PSOE the budget for the entire year has already been executed, so that those who come cannot do anything. The PP, he stressed, is “the citizen’s party, an interclass party, which makes no distinction when it comes to seeing where people come from.”
Feijóo, like the day before in Zaragoza, where he also has aspirations to govern, spoke of “the problems of the street”, especially inflation and asked again that the VAT on meat, fish and preserves be lowered. To alleviate the increase in mortgage interest, he calls for the creation of a fund, through an agreement between the state and the bank, to help families who cannot bear the increase of 300 euros on average in their mortgages.
In the fiscal field, the president of the PP insists that the personal income tax rate be lowered for those who earn less than 40,000 euros per year, and to reduce the price of electricity, use the 6,000 million surplus in the electricity rate to reduce the debt of the electrical system, which is 10,000 million, with which “the price of light will automatically lower for small consumers and electro-intensive companies”.
But Feijóo also wants to establish itself in the party of the self-employed, and in addition to extending the flat rate, which he had already raised, the PP leader announced that his proposal is to finance the self-employed who do not reach an income with 80 euros per month similar to the Minimum Interprofessional salary, and establish a rate of 50 euros per month for young people who study and work. “They are the proposals for change,” concluded Feijóo.
