Celine Dion is one of the great artists on the international scene. The singer can boast of an impeccable career in the world of music and that has led her to achieve great success.
But now the interpreter is going through one of her worst moments. A few hours ago she announced through her social networks that she had to cancel the concert tour that she had scheduled throughout Europe as part of her Courage world Tour.
A few months ago, the singer publicly recounted that she had been diagnosed with a neurological disorder called rigid person syndrome. This disease affects the nervous system and causes muscle spasms. The 55-year-old artist had to postpone her concerts at that time to more distant dates.
Now Celine Dion has returned to give sad news for all her followers. With a post with all the information about her concerts, the interpreter announced the cancellation of a large part of her concerts, with some very emotional words.
”I’m so sorry to disappoint you all once again. I am working very hard to regain my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you are at 100%,” the singer began.
Although the decision has not been easy, she believes that it is the best for her and for her fans. ”It’s not fair to you that I keep postponing shows, and even if it breaks my heart, we better cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again,” she declared. Even so, the artist has confessed that this is simply a see you later. ”I want everyone to know that I’m not giving up… And I can’t wait to see you again!” she confessed.
With this statement Celine Dion says goodbye definitively to her world tour. A tour made up of 94 concerts in total, which would take her to North America and Europe. Although the artist already had the opportunity to perform 52 concerts in the United States before the pandemic and only had the 42 left in Europe that she has cancelled.
The artist was going to visit several of the most important cities on the continent between 2023 and 2024, although she was not going to stop in Spain. Her first concert was scheduled in Amsterdam and the last one would have been held in London.
