This month of May it was possible to visit the temporary exhibition Jordi Jover: nature illustrated. From the individual to the species, in the Farinera Ecomuseum of Castelló d’Empúries.

In the same room where the drawings are exhibited, you can also see a documentary about the making of the illustrations on display from the beginning to the final work. And thus know what the job of a naturalist illustrator is like.

The exhibition, free, can be visited until Sunday, May 28. It allows to know the techniques used, such as pencil or digital illustration. A whole art! In Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can see a sample of the works.

Jordi Jover has 353 illustrated species. Born in Barcelona in 1983, he is a naturalist illustrator and graphic designer. He studied graphic design at the Llotja in Barcelona.

He began illustrating in a self-taught way at the end of 2015 and 2017 professionally. She has illustrated guides, panels and educational material, photocompositions of ecosystems and illustration, design and layout work for publishers.
