This November marks 10 years since the death of Paul Walker in a car accident. A loss that not only shocked the world of cinema, but also shocked his family. For this reason, there are several tributes that the actor has received over the years. Meadow Walker, his daughter, remembered him some time ago with the publication of a video in which the actor could be seen in private.
Now, it has been Cody Walker who wanted to have a nice gesture towards his deceased brother. Cody was very touched by the death of one of his references in his life, so, a decade later, he has decided to name his newborn son after the Fast and Furious actor.
As published by the People portal, Cody Walker and his wife, Felicia Knox, have been parents for the third time. Paul Walker’s brother, who has a four-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son, thus completes his family with his last descendant. “Paul Barrett Walker was born weighing 7 pounds and 4 ounces [3.3 kilos] on Sunday, April 30 in Arizona,” Cody announces to the same portal.
A birth that comes wrapped in homage. Cody Walker wanted to keep his older brother in mind and decided to name his brother after his last son. “This November will mark 10 years since we lost my brother, Paul, and I felt now was the right time,” he recounts.
Cody Walker, who became an actor in 2015, when he had to replace his brother in the filming of the seventh installment of Fast and Furious, has explained more details about his son’s name. And it is that he would be the fifth Paul that has been in the Walker family. “My brother, Paul, was Paul William Walker IV and that name goes back four generations,” he explains on the aforementioned portal.
“Within the family, he was called ‘little Paul’ or ‘Paul 4,’ although he quickly outgrew our father,” says Cody Walker. “It was important to me that that name continue,” he concludes. With this, the family tradition continues. Caleb Walker, another of the brothers, decided to name his five-year-old son Maverick Paul Walker.
In any case, it is not the only tribute that Paul Walker’s little brother has wanted to do to the actor. The youngest of the family has confirmed his attendance at FuelFest, the automotive festival that is held on June 3 at Irwindale Speedway, California.
A portion of the proceeds from this festival will go to Reach Out WorldWide, an organization founded by the late actor in January 2010, after the earthquake in Haiti. “It’s important for many to see that part of his legacy lives on,” explains Cody Walker.
