This Sunday, Spanish citizens exercised their right to vote in the municipal and regional elections of their respective towns and regions. In fact, there were many well-known faces who went to the polls: Belén Esteban, Risto Mejide, Sonia Ferrer or Karmele Marchante, among others.

However, there was a Telecinco presenter who, although she went to vote at her corresponding polling station, was ultimately unable to exercise her constitutional right. That is Terelu Campos who, through her social networks, assured that she was prevented from voting for an unheard of reason. So much so that several followers have come to question the reason so surreal.

Election day has left anecdotes as unheard of as the one Terelu Campos recounted on her Instagram profile: she denounces not having been able to exercise her right to vote, despite having gone to the polls at her polling station. Something that has not gone unnoticed mainly for this curious reason.

“I arrived in Madrid 41 years ago, when I was only 16 years old… I have embraced the commitment and responsibility that every citizen has in an election,” begins the publication of the communicator, who accompanied the letter with a screenshot of the Telemadrid special about the elections.

“I have been voting since my majority. Living in Madrid, I cannot avoid putting on the television that trusted me in 1997 and that we had so many successes…”, assures the eldest daughter of María Teresa Campos. However, “unfortunately, for the first time since I was 18 years old, I went to my polling station, but ‘someone’ took away my registration without me knowing that this could be done.”

According to the complaint by the Telecinco presenter, “people who have my phone number to contact me did not do so, so for the first time I have been denied the right to vote!”

A surreal situation that has caused her monumental anger: “I’m outraged!” So much so that Terelu showed in another photograph the ballots that she should have put in the corresponding ballot boxes.

After this message, some of his followers have raised their doubts about what happened. “I don’t understand anything Terelu”, “Why don’t you register at home?”, “They always send me the card to vote with my data and the school where I have to” or “You explain yourself very badly”, were some of the statements made to him. Be that as it may, it is possible that the journalist will clarify the situation this Monday in Sálvame.
