Police from the Investigation Unit of the Premià de Mar (Maresme) police station arrested four people who were allegedly related to two marijuana plantations in Teià and El Masnou.

The investigators learned that there could be a marijuana plantation in a house in Teià. The investigations they carried out certified the facts and confirmed that there could be an indoor marijuana plantation inside the house.

On May 29, they stopped a vehicle that was leaving the house and upon searching it they found a package with 500 grams of marijuana buds. The driver, a 41-year-old man, was arrested for these events. On the same day, the 29th, they searched the house, with a court order, and dismantled a plantation with 986 marijuana plants, in addition to arresting a 44-year-old man who was inside.

As a result of this fact, the efforts of the investigators made it possible to locate a second marijuana plantation, this time in El Masnou, in which the driver of the vehicle was implicated. On the 31st they agreed with a court order and located 673 marijuana plants already cut and with their buds in an advanced drying process. On the same day, they arrested two women, ages 30 and 45, who were also allegedly related to the plantations.

Both plantations had their electricity illegally connected to the general network and had an infrastructure with the necessary devices for the plants to grow more quickly.

Two of the detainees are also charged with the crime of falsifying a public, official or commercial document, since they falsified their pay slips to appear more economically solvent and to be able to rent one of the houses.
