Nuria Marín is one of the best-known faces from the previous stage of Telecinco. The Catalan presenter, who was in charge of Socialité alongside María Patiño and was a regular on the Sálvame universe, was one of the biggest victims when the network’s leadership wanted to start over in an unprecedented decision.

Marín, who is now successful on TikTok and has begun a new professional stage at TV3, gave an interview to Catalunya Ràdio in which he recounted his experiences and reflections on the complicated world of gossip journalism, specifically in the Mediaset studios.

The communicator has referred to the difficulty of establishing healthy and honest relationships in the chain, revealing a competitive, if not hostile, environment among colleagues. “Sometimes I had the feeling, walking through the corridors of Mediaset, that there were people who were already dividing our inheritance, for when we died,” she lamented.

When addressing the topic of the ending of Sálvame, Marín has adopted a philosophical stance, noting that “there is no better revenge, if you have to get revenge on someone, than to be successful.” Thus, while the main characters of Sálvame have landed on Netflix sweeping views, she has managed to position herself as a fun communicator, something that for her is already having triumphed. In parallel, Telecinco’s audience crisis has worsened.

The Catalan presenter has also addressed the concept of trash TV, which has often been used, even from programs on the same network, to refer to projects in which she has participated. “The thing is, what is trash TV? I think that calling a program trash TV is insulting the viewers who watch it,” she stated.

Finally, he has thrown a hint at Telecinco’s current editorial line: “For me it is more trash TV to try to convince someone of a situation, I don’t know, perhaps social or political, than not to explain that Isabel Pantoja never leaves Cantora, that is a reality”.
