The fashion and beauty trends of the 90s are back with a bang this season. In recent months, style prescribers have recovered several of those clothing items, haircuts and makeup that were rampant thirty years ago and are now worn by girls who weren’t even born at that time.
For a few weeks TikTok has been filled with some tutorials that are inspired by one of the great beauty trends that the models of the 90s adored and that have prescribers who are a reference for the young people of generation Z, such as Hailey Bieber or Rosalia.
These are the lips known as Brownie Glazed Lips, a technique that basically consists of outlining and painting the lips in a brown tone to give much more volume. A style that has also conquered several tiktokers specialized in beauty, who have shared with their followers the steps to follow to show off lips like those worn by Jennifer Aniston, Mariah Carey or Britney Spears in the 90s.
The first step is to use a brown lip liner, in a slightly darker shade than the lip color that will be used next. The lip is outlined well -you can cross a bit of the line in the part of the cupid’s bow and in the center of the lower lip to visually enlarge the area- and immediately afterwards they are painted with a nude-toned lipstick.
With these two steps, a significant change is already noticeable, with much fuller lips. This technique is the one that RosalÃa usually uses, who on more than one occasion has shown her followers her trick to show off her lips in a very natural way.
This Brownie Glazed Lips technique is completed with the application of a gloss to provide shine and the effect of juicier lips. A clear gloss or moisturizing lip oil can be used, as well as a rosy-finish gloss.
