José LuÃs Ãbalos returns to the political front line. The PSOE has asked him to be part of the list of this party for Valencia to Congress in the starting positions. Decision that makes the former minister and former general secretary of the Spanish socialists a key player in reinforcing the Valencian candidacy in the next general elections on 23J which will presumably be led by the Minister of Science, Diana Morant.
In conversation with this newspaper, Ãbalos confirmed what was published by El Español and underlined his satisfaction at his inclusion on the lists and his willingness to “work so that the PSOE obtains a great result” in the next elections. The former minister was removed from the Pedro Sánchez government two years ago, and during this time he has dedicated himself to collaborating with the party and maintaining a low political profile. Despite the speculations, Ãbalos has never criticized Pedro Sánchez.
The return of Ãbalos also has an interesting internal significance in the PSPV, where he continues to have many loyalties and complicities. The incorporation of him can be an element of agitation for the socialist bases after the defeat of the past 28M.
